Disgruntled Employee

Yesterday around 9:17 am, Sgt. Martin of the Laurens Police Department was dispatched to a North Harper Street business where the complaintant reported that an employee was being terminated and left the premises with her termination papers. Sgt. Martin spoke with the employee over the phone and advised her that if the papers were not returned a warrant would be signed for the theft of company property. The terminated employee complied and returned the papers. A trespass notice was then served on the former employee. The terminated employee then reported that the complaintant assaulted her by pushing her. Sgt. Martin reviewed in store video and spoke with a witness that stated there was no physical contact.
