Man, Woman Charged from October 16th Wreck

   Clinton Public Safety yesterday charged a man in connection with a traffic accident at his home address last Wednesday. 36-year-old James Albert Hyman Jr. of 1625 Gary Street, Clinton was charged with Leaving the Scene of a Wreck, Giving False Information to Police and with Driving Under Suspension. Lt. Eric Robinson states that while driving a vehicle on Gary Street October 16th Mr. Hyman was involved in an accident resulting in damage to a City of Clinton utility pole and failed to remain at the scene of the accident to provide information. He allegedly gave false information to law enforcement officers for the purpose of avoiding arrest on a criminal charge by stating that Donna Hyman was not a passenger in the vehicle with him when he had an accident at 1625 Gary Street on October 16th. Lt. Robinson further alleges that James Albert Hyman Jr. was driving while his license to drive was suspended. Bonds were set totaling $6,152 on the three charges and James Albert Hyman Jr. was being held earlier today in the Johnson Detention Center.

  Clinton Public Safety yesterday also booked 32-year-old Donna Mae Hyman of 1625 Gary Street, Clinton in connection with the same wreck. She was also charged with Giving False Information to Police. Lt. Eric Robinson states that Donna Hyman gave false information to law enforcement October 16th about not being in a vehicle as a passenger during the  incident that day at 1625 Gary Street. She was placed in the Johnson Detention Center and later released on a $500 Surety Bond.
