Six Charged with Disorderly

Clinton Public Safety was dispatched to a fight in progress call on Academy Street at 2:10 Saturday afternoon. Officer Stephen Lawton reported that 42-year-old Tony Ray Sherfield Sr. said other subjects came to his son’s residence at that location trying to jump on him. Sherfield was reportedly being extremely loud and boisterous, cursing a lot. When asked to calm down, he allegedly started hollering louder and continued to curse. Clinton Public Safety Officers eventually arrested all six people at the scene on Disorderly Conduct charges.

  20-year-old Kevin Bines of 88 Deer Valley, Laurens was also charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. He was released later Saturday afternoon on two $500 PR bonds.

 39-year-old Michael James “Mike” Kirby of 804 North Sloan Street, Clinton was given a $500 PR bond and turned over to Laurens City Police for Two Charges of Petit Larceny. Warrants alleged that he drove off after pumping gasoline at the Murphy Station on East Main, Laurens on April 24th and May 22nd. He was placed in the JohnsonDetentionCenter and released yesterday on two $1,000 personal recognizance bonds for the Laurens Charges.

 42-year-old Tony Ray Sherfield Sr. of 19985 Highway 72 East, Clinton was placed in the JohnsonDetentionCenter on the Public Disorderly charge. He was released yesterday on a $500 PR bond.

  Released from Clinton City Jail Saturday on $500 PR bonds on the Disorderly Conduct charge were 17-year-old Tony Ray Sherfield Jr. of Highway 72 East or Academy Street, 20-year-old Christian Scott Kirby of 804 North Sloan Street, Clinton and 18-year-old Amber Maloy of 88 Deer Valley, Laurens.
