Laurens City Police arrested a man yesterday for alleged attempts to purchase illegally excessive amounts of a non-prescription drug this past spring. He’s wanted for more serious charges in Greenwood.
37-year-old Robin Darr Epting Jr. was booked with an address at 255 East Main, apartment 4, Laurens. charged with Two Counts of Attempt to Purchase Ephedrine. Warrants that show an address on Atomic Drive stated that he attempted to purchase more than 9 grams of ephedrine in a 30-day period on two occasions. The warrants cited a May 13th attempt at Bi-Lo on West Main and another attempt between May 21st and 23rd at Walgreens on East Main.
Robin Epting Jr. was being held for arraignment on the charges, and was also being held for the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, where he’s charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Giving False Information to Police. Greenwood warrants, showing an address in Waterloo for the subject, state that Robin Darr Epting Jr. had materials in his possession used in the manufacture of methamphetamine this past September 18th at 206 W Davenport Ave, Greenwood.
