A Laurens man died this past weekend, several weeks after being injured in a wreck on his motorcycle. Initial reports indicate the wreck happened on Fleming Street in Laurens, when 59-year-old Bruce Gregory of Penland Road, Laurens was riding his motorcycle and was reportedly struck by a vehicle. Gregory was reportedly in the hospital for four or more weeks and was discharged last week. He was taken back to hospital around 10:30 Saturday morning, and was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols said that Mr. Gregory died sometime around 12:30 Saturday afternoon. Nichols said an autopsy was to be conducted this morning to determine the cause of death.
