Two lap-top computers valued at $1,200 were taken and there was damage to door knobs, windows and drawers. 911 Dispatch advised Officer Stephen Lawton that a subject from the break-in was wearing dark pants and a flannel coat with a hood. As officers were patrolling the area searching for the suspect Officer Wicker located a man walking in front of the school who was wearing dark pants and a brown jacket with a flannel hood sticking out. He questioned the man, and the man said he lived on Elizabeth Street and was on his way to buy cigarettes for his wife. The man was taken into investigative custody. Meanwhile, his wife was contacted and she said he had left to buy cigarettes. The man was taken to the Department of Public Safety for questioning, then released without being charged.
