Raider Tuesday Baseball Games Postponed

The Laurens Raider baseball game at Hillcrest scheduled for today has been postponed
until tomorrow. The Raiders will play a JV/varsity doubleheader starting at 5:00.
As a result, the JV game vs. Clinton scheduled for tomorrow at LDHS will be rescheduled.

Sports Report for Tuesday, 4-8-2014

Local Sports Results:  Well the weather pretty much laid waste to yesterday’s high school sports schedule.. Here is what I know about reschedules at this time:

  • Clinton C-team baseball… host Ninety Six on Saturday 4-12-14 at 11:00 am, Doubleheader
  • Laurens varsity & JV softball… host TL Hanna on Monday 4-28-14
  • Laurens boys tennis… host Easley at Laurens City Courts on Monday, 4-21-14 at 5:00
  • Note about today: The Clinton soccer match @ Chester scheduled for today will be played Thursday (4-10-14) at 6:00.

 

Laurens County Speedway: racing started back last Saturday night and lets recap the results in the first races of the year

  • Super Stock 4… T.J. Baker took a win but it was not an easy one as he had to fight off Joe Gibson as the two made contact in the last lap… Scott Nelson finished 2nd and JR Baker 3rd.
  • Hobby… Chris Patterson finished 1st with Bobby Tucker and Tim Tollison the next 2 across the finish line behind him.
  • Front-Wheel Drive… Travis Caldwell took the lead a little over half way through the race and then went on to take the win… Travis Jamieson finished 2nd and Ricky Hill 3rd.
  • Crates… Terry Bullard led wire to wire in this race and finished 1st… Winning the battle for 2nd & 3rd were Butch Riddle and Chris Pendleton.

 

NCAA Men’s Championship…  The University of Connecticut became the first #7 seed to win the men’s championship last night as they defeated Kentucky 60-54… Kentucky never led and were down by as many as 15 points in the second half… UConn finished the season 32-8 and Kentucky 29-11.

 

Ryan Wright… LDHS golfer Ryan Wright participated in a tournament at the Chateau Elon in Georgia sponsored by PGA superstars around the country… Wright finished 4th carding 2 birdies on 3 of his last hole… By the way, the real PGA season kicks off this week with the Masters taking place down in Augusta… The practice rounds were rained out today.

 

College Baseball:

  • NC State 7 – Clemson 1…  Believe it or not the Clemson Tigers and NC State did play last night at We Don’t Care How Wet it is Doug Kingsmore Stadium… NC State took the game 7-1 to win 2 of 3 games in the current series… The Tigers host the Georgia Bulldogs tonight at 6:30 … It can be seen on CSS & ESPN3.
  • South Carolina…  The Gamecocks dropped 2 of 3 games to the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville over the weekend and dropped to 4th or 5th depending on what poll you look at in this week’s rankings… The Gamecocks will be in Greenville tonight to take on the Furman Paladins at Flour Field with first pitch scheduled for 7:00… No TV that I know of for the game.

Sports Report for Monday, 4-7-2014

Local Sports Results:

 

CHS: The CHS soccer team traveled to Columbia on Friday and Saturday to participate in the Airport Select Invitational… This is a very prestigious tournament with some of the best teams participating…

  • Mauldin 3 – CHS 2… On Friday night the Red Devils took on the Maudlin Mavericks and fell by a score of 3-2… Madison Simpson and Dexter Simmons had the Clinton goals.
  • Swansea 3 – CHS 0…  In their first game on Saturday the Red Devils managed only 2 shots on goal to Swansea’s 14 and fell by a score of 3-0.
  • Bluffton 7 – CHS 0… In their last game on Saturday, Clinton’s offensive woes continued as they lost 7-0 to Bluffton…  Again the Red Devils managed only 2 shots on goal while Bluffton’s offense took 38..

LDHS:

  • BB: GHS 7 – LDHS 2… On Friday night the Raider baseball team hosted the Greenwood Eagles in Region I-AAAA action at Ed Prescott Field… In the top of the 5th inning the lights went out at the field for 24 minutes and that is pretty much an analogy of the game as Greenwood took a 7-2 win over the Raiders… Greenwood tagged Laurens starter Tanner Adair for 4 runs in the first inning while their starting pitcher Gatlin Minick picked up the complete game win allowing the 2 earned runs on 6 hits while striking out 9 and walking just 1…. Laurens Softball… The Lady Raider softball team was in action at the Triple Crown Tournament in Aiken…. Good news for Raider fans as the team went 2-1 in pool play and then undefeated in bracket play to win the Gold Division Championship… Congratulation to the Lady Raiders… Information about each game can be found below.

  • LDHS 11 – Midland Valley 10… In the first game the Lady Raiders took an 11-10 win over Midland Valley in a shootout that went back and forth all night… The Raiders put 3 runs on the board in the top of the 7th when Michaela Smith led off being hit by a pitch and then Jordan Henderson, Bailey Gibbs and Tara Bond all recorded hits… Allison Foreback got the win… Click on the following for game statistics: 14-4-4_SB_LDHS-Midland_Valley_Stats
  • WKHS 10 – LDHS 8… In the 2nd game on Friday night, the Raiders got into another shootout this time with White Knoll… The Raiders fell behind early but fought back only to lose the game when WKHS but 4 runs on the board in the bottom of the 6th inning and Laurens was only able to manage 2 runs in the top of the 7th as WKHS took a 10-8 win… Allison Foreback went 3-4… Click on the following for game statistics: 14-4-4_SB_LDHS-White_Knoll_Stats
  • LDHS 6 – ILHS5… In the first game on Saturday, the Lady Raiders got back on the winning track as they took a 6-5 win over Indian Land… The Raiders broke a 5-5 tie in the top of the 7th inning when Tara Bond led off with a single and then scored when Maria Williamson later doubled… Laurens held on in the 7th to take the 6-5 win….   • LDHS 2 – Blythewood 0… In the second game on Saturday, Laurens broke a scoreless tie with 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to take a 2-0 win over Blythewood… Michaela smith and Maria Williamson led the inning off with back-to-back singles with Smith scoring on a Blythewood error… Baylee Brag grounded into a fielder’s choice that resulted in Williamson being forced out at second… Bragg then advanced to second on a passed ball and then scored on a single by Jordan Henderson… Allison Foreback picked up the win striking out 6 and walking none… Click on the following for game statistics: 14-4-5_SB_LDHS-Blythewood_Stats
  • LDHS 7 –EHS 1… In the final game on Saturday, the Lady Raiders faced off against region foe Easley for the Gold Division Championship… Laurens jumped on top 7-0 at the end of 3 innings and Logan Hill held Easley to just 1 run the rest of the way as the Lady Raiders took a 7-1 win in the championship game… Jordan Henderson led the Raider attack going 3-4 with 2 RBIs… Maria Williamson and Michaela Smith both went 2-4… Click on the following for game statistics: 14-4-5_SB_LDHS-Easley_Stats
  • The Raiders are now 14-4 on the season and 6-0 in region play…. They are scheduled to host (weather permitting) TL Hanna today in a JV-Varsity doubleheader… They are also planning on having their Cancer Awareness Game tonight in memory of cancer victims and honoring cancer survivors… Donations to Relay for Life will be accepted and luminaries will be on sale… Hope you can make it to the game but if you can’t, join Mike Hughes as he brings you all the action live starting about 7:30… And as usual, it will be streamed on the internet at www.wlbg.com.

 

College Notes:

  • NCAA Div. I Basketball….  Well the NCAA’s march Madness has all but run its course as we are down to the final 2 and the championship game tonight at 9:00 on CBS… OK, how many of you really had Connecticut defeating the #1 seed Florida on you bracket to set up a showdown with a #& seed Kentucky?  Be honest now?

Sports Report for Friday, 4-4-2014

Local Sports Results: Well as far as I can determine there were no local high school athletic events yesterday but there are numerous events today and this weekend… Be sure to see the local sports schedule below.

 NIT:  Minnesota 65 – SMU 63….   Austin Hollins hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 46.1 seconds left and Minnesota won the NIT championship Thursday night, beating SMU 65-63…. Hollins finished the night with 19 points for the Golden Gophers who finish the season 25-13…  

MLB:

  • Drive 3 – Intimidators 1… The Greenville Drive opened their season last night up in Kannapolis, NC and good news for Drive fans as they took a 3-1 win… Drive first baseman Tim Roberson drove in 2 runs… The same 2 teams will play a 3 more games in the current series.
  • Braves: The Atlanta Braves were off last night and will open a 3 game series with the Nationals in DC this afternoon at 1:05.

 College Baseball Notes:

  • The Clemson Tigers will host NC State in a 3 game series beginning tomorrow at 1:00 pm and continuing through Monday.
  • The South Carolina Gamecocks had their series opener with Arkansas out in Fayetteville postponed due to the bad weather that is supposed to be heading our way… They will now play a doubleheader with the Razor Backs today with the first game scheduled to start at 4:05 ET… About 30 minutes the second game will take place and the series finale is scheduled for 7:00 tomorrow night…. Sports Radio 1410 WPCC is scheduled to carry these games.

College Basketball: March Madness is about to come to an end (as well it should because it is now April) and tomorrow Connecticut will square off against Florida about 6:09 pm and then Kentucky will face Wisconsin at 8:49 pm… Both games will be on TBS.

Sports Report for Thursday, 4-3-2014

Local Sports Results:

 CHS:

  • BB: CHS 6 – Broome 2… Last night the Red Devils hosted the Broome Centurions in Region 3-AAA action… Good news for Red Devil fans as Clinton took a 6-2 win over Broome to run their region record to 3-1… There was no score in the first inning but the Red Devils scored a single run in each of the next 4 innings and 2 in the 6th in route to the win… Broome put both of their runs on the board in the 6th inning… Kendall Pitts led the Red Devils 10 hit attack going 3-4 with an RBI… Matthew Craven was the only other Red Devil with more than 1 hit going 2-3….  Peyton Spangler got the start going 5⅓ innings giving up 2 earned runs on 8 hits while striking out 4 and walking 1… O’Kevius Conway pitched the balance of the game giving up no hits, striking out 2 and walking none… Afterward Coach Atkinson stated “That was a big Region win for us… We are now 3-1 in the region, headed to Chester next Tuesday…We were not as sharp tonight, but were good enough to win.”   Click on the following for more game statistics: 14-4-2_BB_CHS-Broome_Stats_Box    Click on the following for the game scorecard: 14-4-2_BB_CHS-Broome_Scorecard   The next ball game for the Red Devils is a JV-Varsity doubleheader at Chester next Tuesday…

  • BB: Clemson 4 – Winthrop 2… The No. 15 Clemson Tigers scored four runs in the fifth inning to defeat Winthrop 4-2 Wednesday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium and take their 5th win in a row… Steve Wilkerson went 3-3 and Jay Baum went 2-3 to be the only Tigers with more than 1 hit… Clate Schmidt picked up the win working 5⅓ innings… The Tigers will host NC State in a 3-game series starting Saturday  at 1:00
  • South Carolina:  The South Carolina Gamecocks will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas today to start a 3-game series with the Razorbacks… The first pitch tonight is scheduled for 8:00 ET and can be heard on Sports radio 1410 WPCC… It is also scheduled to be on ESPNU.
  • NIT: Well SMU (which eliminated Clemson in the semifinals) will take on Minnesota tonight at 7:00… It will be broadcast on ESPN.

MLB:

  • Braves 1 – Brewers 0…  After losing the first game of the season to the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, the Braves bounced and won on Tuesday night so last night’s contest was for the series win… Good news for Braves fans as the Bravos took a 1-0 win over the Brew Crew… Chris Johnson had a solo homer for the Braves in the 7th inning and Braves made it stand up to take the series 2 games to 1…  The Braves will take today off and open a 3-game series with the Nationals in Washington with a 1:05 game tomorrow.
  • Greenville Drive… The Greenville Drive will kick-off the 2014 season tonight on the road in Kannapolis, NC where they will take on the Intimidators tonight at 7:05… After this 4-game series with Kannapolis, the Drive will head to the coast to take on the Charleston River Dogs and will not have their home opener until 1 week from tonight.

Sports Report for Wednesday, 4-2-2014

Local Sports Results:

 CHS:

  • Soccer: BHP 5 – CHS 2… The Red Devil soccer team hosted the Bears oh BHP in non-region action… The Red Devils were too good of a host as the Bears took a 5-2 win… Madison Simpson had both of Clinton’s goals… BHP had 17 shots on goal to Clinton’s 11… Clinton is now 1-6 on the season… They will be back in action starting tomorrow at a tournament at Airport HS in Columbia.

 

LDHS:

  • BB: LDHS 15 – Woodmont 4…  The Laurens Raider baseball team returned home last night to host the Woodmont Wildcats hoping to rebound after their loss to JL Mann on Monday night and rebound they did as they took a 15-4 win over the Wildcats in 5 innings… Laurens led 9-0 at the end of 2 innings when Woodmont picked up their 4 runs in the top of the 3rd… Laurens put the game away in the bottom of the 4th inning scoring 6 runs…. Kevin Dean picked up the complete game win giving up just 6 hits 4 of which came in the 3rd inning when Woodmont scored all 4 of their earned runs…  Kevin struck out 2 and walked only 1… Cody Smiley led the Raider attack going 3-4 with a double and 2 RBIs… Hammer Walker, Thomas Jones, and Toby Jackson each had 2 hits… The Raiders are now 8-3 on the season and 4-3 in region play….   • Golf: Tee Off Classic @ Star Fort…  Now catching up with the Raider golf team, they were one of 18 teams playing at Star Fort G.C. in Ninety Six last Saturday… The Raiders finished tied for 12th with a score of 336… Ryan Wright had the low score for Laurens with a 78… Jonathan Finley and Patton Croker both shot 84 and Nick Brown a 90… Coach Jim Iacuone stated afterwards “I was happy with our scores on Saturday. Our team score after the first nine holes was the best it’s been this season thus far (163). College Notes:

  • NIT: SMU 65 – Clemson 59… The Clemson Tiger men’s basketball season saw their season come to an end last night as they fell to SMU 65-59 in the semi-finals of the NIT in Madison Square Garden…It was a tough loss especially since they led 38-26 at the half… The Tigers had a very respectable season as they finish with a 23-13 record for the year.
  • BB: Clemson 13 – Furman 2… Better news for the Clemson Tiger baseball team as they defeated Furman 13-2 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium last night… The Tigers put the game away with 5 runs in the 6th inning and 3 in both the 7th & 8th innings… The Tigers are now 18-9 on the season.
  • BB: South Carolina 2 – Appalachian State 1…  The #2 gamecocks were also at home last night as they hosted the Mountaineers of Appalachian State… Grayson Greiner had a walk-off pinch-hit in the 9th inning to lift the Gamecocks to the win… South Carolina is now 25-3 on the season.

 

MLB:  

  • Braves 5 – Brewers 2…   Freddie Freeman homered twice and Jason Heyward hit a two-run shot to back an outstanding pitching performance by Alex Wood as the Braves topped the Brewers in Milwaukee  5-2 last night.

Sports Report for Tuesday, 4-1-2014

CHS:

  • BB: CHS 10 – Newberry 0….  The Red Devil baseball team hosted Newberry last night and it only took them 5 innings to send the Bulldogs back down the road with a 10-0 loss… Bradley Templeton pitched a 1 hit complete game striking out 7 and walking none… Clinton scored in each of the 4 innings they batted with the big inning coming in the 2nd when they put 6 runs on the board… Josh Simmons, Okevius Conway, Landon Allison and Kendall Pitts each had 2 hits for the Red Devils… After the game Coach Lee Atkinson stated “Bradley Templeton threw a heck of a game. We were able to get 9 hits breaking us out of a slump we were in for 2 weeks. I hope we can continue the hitting on Wednesday when Broome comes to town’….   • SB: Union County 12 – CHS 2… Yesterday the CHS Lady Red Devil softball teams traveled to Union County to make up games rained out last Friday… In varsity action, UC took a 12-2 win over Clinton… Jessica Wood took the loss giving up 9 hits while striking out 8 and walking 4… Brittany Wright and Cassie Nichols led the Red Devil each going 2-3.
  • JV SB: Union County 15 – CHS 2.

 LDHS:

  • BB: JL Mann 6 – LDHS 4…. The Laurens Raider baseball team traveled to Greenville last night to take on the JL Mann Patriots…. The ride back down I-385 was not a pleasant one for the Raiders as Mann took a 6-4 win…. Mann put a total of 6 runs on the board in the first 2 innings then held on to take the win….   • Brewers 2 – Braves 0… The Braves opened up the 2014 season on the road in Milwaukee and fell to the Brewers 2-0 … The Braves had 5 hits to the Brewers 8 and Andrelton Simmons was the only Brave to get more than 1 hit (2)… Julio Teheran took the loss…. The Braves and the Brewers will play agin at 8:10 in Milwaukee..

 

College Basketball:

  • Clemson vs. SMU…. Good luck to the Clemson men’s basketball team as they take on SMU in a semifinal game in the NIT tonight… The game will be at 7:00 and can be seen on ESPN2.

Sports Report for Monday, 3-31-2014

Local Sports Results: The rain on Friday & Saturday caused numerous postponements of the local athletic schedule but there were a couple of contest that took place:

 CHS:

  • Soccer: CHS 6 – Union County 1… The Red Devil soccer team picked up its first win of the season as they defeated Union County 6-1 at Union…. Madison Simpson & Nolan Boozer each had 2 goals each for Clinton while Dexter Simmons and Elvis Fitz rounded out Clinton’s scoring with a goal each… Fitz, Simmons and Michael Richey also recorded assist… Clinton’s offense put pressure on Union County all night as they had 29 shots on goal while the defense limited UC to just 4…. The Red Devils are now 1-2 in region play and 1-5 overall…. They are scheduled to host BHP tomorrow at 5:30.

Rescheduled Contest & Dates from Friday & Saturday:

  • C-team baseball- vs. 96 DH moved to 4-7-14 at  5:00
  • Varsity Softball vs. Abbeville DH moved to 4-9-14 at 5:00
  • Softball & Baseball vs. Union County… No makeup date scheduled yet.

 

 LDHS:

  • SB: LDHS 8 – Westside 2… The Lady Raider softball team was able to get their varsity game in with Westside last Friday due to some hard work by the coaching staff and parents on the field and the Lady Raiders remain undefeated in the region as they posted an 8-2 win over the Lady Rams… Laurens scored single runs in the second and fourth innings and 3 runs in both the third and fifth inning to take a 8-0 lead into the top of the 7th inning where Westside picked up their only 2 runs of the inning…. Maria Williamson and Mattie Cantrell led the Raider offense getting 2 hits each… One of Williamson’s hits was a solo homer giving her a team leading total of 4 on the year… The Raider defense was also solid as they played errorless ball… Allison Foreback picked up her 8th win of the season working 4⅓ innings and Logan hill worked the balance of the game and getting her 3rd save of the season… The Raiders are now 10-3 on the season and 6-0 in region play… They will resume play this coming Friday and Saturday as they participate in the Triple Crown Tournament in Aiken… Click on the following for more statistics and box score for the Westside game: 14-3-28_SB_LDHS-Westside_Stats     Click on the following for the scorecard: 14-3-28_SB_LDHS-Westside_Scorecard

 

Laurens Academy: No catching up on a couple of Laurens Academy baseball scores that I was able to obtain just last Friday.

  • Ware Shoals 7 – LA 2… One week ago today the Ware Shoals Hornets took a 7-2 win over the Crusaders… Hunter Elwood went 3-4 in the game to lead the Crusader offense… Trevor Esposito took the loss working 5 innings and giving up 4 runs only 3 of which were earned.
  • LA 11 – Newberry 1… Last Thursday the Crusaders got back on the winning track as they took an 11-1 win over Newberry…  The only detail that I have is that Matthew Urwick picked up the first complete game win of the season for the Crusaders… The Crusaders are now 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in region play…  The game on Friday was canceled due to the weather and the game today with Whitmire is canceled due to scheduling conflict

 

College Baseball:

  • Clemson took 2 games from Maryland this weekend by scores of 7-1 & 3-1… The 3rd game was cancelled due to rain… It will not be made up
  • South Carolina swept their 3 game series with Tennessee in Columbia this past weekend taking game 1 3-2 in 14 innings and it actually finished on Saturday… In game 2 on Saturday they game back and took a 9-6 win with Grayson Greiner ending the game with a walk-off grand slam homer…. They won yesterday’s game 8-0

 

College Basketball:

  • Final Four…. The final four in the men’s basketball championship is now set… #1 seed Florida will face # 7 seed Connecticut Saturday at 6:09 and then #2 Wisconsin will take on #8 Kentucky about 8:49… I’m sure you all had these matchups on your brackets… right.
  • Women’s Basketball… earlier in the season, the Lady Tar Heels of NC handed the Lady Gamecocks of SC their first defeat of the season and yesterday they handed them their last as they defeated SC 65-58 to eliminate the Gamecocks from the NCAA women’s tournament in Sanford California… South Carolina finishes the season with a 29-5 record.

MLB:

  • The MLB season gets in full swing today and the Braves will open on the road in Milwaukee as they take on the Brewers… First pitch is scheduled for 2:10.

Coach Liner Speaks to Rotary Club

Chris Liner spoke to the members of the Laurens Rotary Club. He was introduced
by LDHS graduate Coach Shell Dulla now retired who coached and then hired Coach
Liner at Greenwood… Coach Liner spoke about his general feeling on how he saw

Sports Report for Friday, 3-28-2014

Local Sports Results:

 CHS:

  • SB: CHS 3 – Broome 2… The Red Devil softball teams hosted the Lady Centurions of Broome in a pair of rained out games from earlier in the season… In varsity action, the Red Devils took a 3-2 win… Clinton jumped on top 2-0 in the first inning and scored the winning run in the 7th when Kylie Griffin led off with a single and came home for the win on a walk-off single by Brittany Wright… Afterwards Coach Templeton stated “ I’m proud of the fight we showed in the 7th inning… We have some adjustments to make but I’m proud of the girls for not quitting”… Jessica Wood went 3/3 and Allison Oxner 2/3 to lead Clinton’s offense… Wood got the complete game win giving up 6 hits while striking out 6 and walking only 1… The Red Devils are scheduled to travel to Union today for a JV – varsity double header.
  • JV SB…  Broome 14 – CHS 2
  • Tennis: CHS 5 – Chapman 2… The Red Devils tennis team traveled to Chapman and came home with a 5-2 victory … Sorry no other details at this time.
  • Golf: CHS 177 – Union County 183… Clinton defeated Union County by a score of 177-183 yesterday at Lakeside CC….  After the top 4 golfers were in, Clinton and Union were tied at 183 and it looked like an 8 man playoff would take place but junior Jay Addison carded a 47 to take out a higher score and Clinton won by 6 shots… Zach Davis had the low score for Clinton with 42. ..Harrison Fisher had a 43 and Michael Mann had a 45 to go along with Addison’s 47… Clinton improves to 4-1 and will host mid-Carolina on April 7th.
  • JV BB: Union 3 – CHS 1… In JV baseball action at CHS last night, the Clinton JV baseball team suffered their first loss of the season as Union County took a 3-1 win… Coach Mike Turner said that Union made more plays than Clinton but he was proud of the team’s effort… Tristan Smaltz pitched 6 inning for the Red Devils with 6 strikeouts and Davis Cunningham got strikeouts in inning of work on the mound… Charlie Craven and Cameron Bishop both went 2-3 and Davis Cunningham 1-3 with an RBI.
  • BB: LDHS 5 – CHS 3… The Clinton and Laurens baseball teams got together for the first time this season at Ed Prescott Field and the Raiders took a 5-3 win… Laurens led 5 to 0 going into the 6th inning when Clinton scored a run to make it 5-1 and rallied in the 7th to pick up 2 more runs but came up short… Charles McKinney took the loss for Clinton with Blake Riddle also getting some relief work for the Red Devils… Kevin Dean took the complete game win for the Raiders… Now for the box score and statistics, click on the following link: 14-3-27_LDHS_BB-Clinton_stats  For the game’s scorecard, click on the following: 14-3-27_LDHS_BB-Clinton_scorecard

 

LDHS:

  • Tennis: JL Mann 7 – LDHS 0…  At the Laurens City Park courts yesterday, the Raiders took on defending region champion JL Mann and the Patriots showed they are a force to be reckoned with again this year as they took a 7-0 win over the Raiders… Click on the following for Coach Corley’s comments on the match: 3-27-14_Mann   The team is now off until after the spring break which starts this Monday.
  • Coach Liner speaks to Rotary Club… Yesterday the new Head Football Coach at LDHS Chris Liner spoke to the members of the Laurens Rotary Club… He was introduced by LDHS graduate Coach Shell Dulla now retired who coached and then hired Coach Liner at Greenwood… Coach Liner spoke about his general feeling on how he saw his duties as a coach and the impact that Coach Dulla had on his life… I invite you to look in the Between the Lines section WLBG’s homepage for an audio recording of his remarks that will be posted by noon today.
